A flagship initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) providing a secure cloud platform for citizens to store and verify documents. UPSC announced it will use DigiLocker to verify certificates, reducing fraud and promoting paperless governance. Documents are legally recognized as equivalent to originals under IT Rules, 2016.
